Hi I am thinking about buying this A4 Cab from a dealer, but I really dont like these wheels, I dont think they are a standard Audi A4 Cab set of wheels but maybe Im wrong?

If they aren't it would give me some ammo for the dealer to knock him down a bit....

So can anyone tell me if they are standard, or a special or off another car? Does anyone recognise them?

Im going to slap some RS4 alloys on it anyway, but perhaps if I say theve come off an A3 or something he may be more inclined for me to knock him down...

Many thanks for any info you have... Going to buy the car on Sunday...

there not oem to that car
they look like rep BBS CH
cant see him knocking money off tho

I heard somewhere once that there was a special edition which has BBS CH rims without the motorsport logo on, but I never had confirmation of that.

Those BBS rims are worth more than the standard s-line rims anyway, as they are rarer. Buy it and may a few ££ by selling the rims on when you get RS4s...

My A4 cab has the RS6-Style / S-Line alloys on.. not seen those on your pic before but I actually quite like them tbh!

Im actually now wondering if the car is a Special Edition and he just hasn't realised that... Do you think that is possible? Anyway I can tell if its a special edition? i.e different spec inside or engine etc, I know the special edition has and extra 20bhp...

Thanks

im sure the Special ed was on the very last of the cabs
what year is it engine etc ?

Yeah wouldnt be the special edition then - plus I can see orange corners on the front there and the special had clears I think.. Just out of interest, how much are they after for it?

8250...
Seems low to me even if that is due to the high miles...Has lots of extras aswell, heated seats, Bose, Alimunium dash pack, parking sensors...
Its an Sline too...

Yeah that does seem low.. !

I was looking at a 2.0 tfsi on 07 plate with 52k for 11.5k..

I bought my 2.0 tdi with 65k on 07 plate for 11k!

Makes me feel a little bit upset :-(

they are low at the min
mines ready to go up for sale last time it was up i only got offers around 7500
2007 37k 18T s-line

Bl**dy hell.. really?! The book value on mine is apparently 9.5k (which I found out afterwards..) so 1.5k margin when I bought it went to the dealer.. Offers of 7500 would make me want to give the guy making the offer a noogie..

spose its the time of year you dont realy need a cab
and with money been tight for most ppl
just the way it is now
anyway i kept it and chucked a few choice partson it
DTM front ready to go on next.

Nice work.. aiming to do similar stuff to mine but just need to get the issues I have had with it since day 1 sorted first..! (long story)

whats the issue ?

Like i say, long story.. but the potted version is.. ; Bought it in december, had to travel 100 miles as was looking for one with nav, heated leather, bose etc. Picked it up and immediately there were some issues.Black smoke on acceleration, wobble throughout the car at about 70mph+, noisy turbo, and a terrible clattering noise for half a second after starting on a warm re-start.

I raised it with the dealer after xmas and he took it back and put a new turbo on it for me (which is good..) and looked into the other issues but couldnt really find anything else wrong. I got it back from him a couple of weeks ago and it felt a lot better so took it to my local indy specialist and there is a still an oil leak from the oil feed pipe to the turbocharger. The wobble that I had put down to wheel balancing issues has been diagnosed and (there are some obvious gauges out of the nearside alloys which I was planning to have refurbed) the indy reckons the wheels are completely buckled and there is probably some sort of bent suspension component in there too..

I have now been back to the dealer again in writing pointing out these issues and am waiting for him to get back to me. The way I see it, the oil leak is an aftercare issue for the garage that fitted the turbo. The wheels are MUCH worse than I was led to believe when I bought the car and we cant check the suspension properly until the wheels are sorted. So I'm waiting to hear back from them on what they are going to do about it.

Otherwise I may be asking for a refund!

Those are the same wheels as i have on mine, they were offered as an option.

I actually looked for a car with these wheels as they were different to the std S-line wheels.
