Help with an ecu

Hi guys I'm after some info; I have a 2007 a4 2.0tdi 140 BRE manual and I have an ecu with serial number 03G 906 016 JD. Do any of you have the same serial number? If you have done any vagcom/vcds checks it says serial number at the top of the report. My ecu is faulty causing surging/pulsating between 1 thou and 2 thou and after that the car is perfect.

My problem is its £800 for a new ecu

So what I'm going to do is try find an ecu with same serial number on eBay to try that first. Hoping that all 03G 906 016 JD

My ecu was at fault and I have a new one now and the car drives like new.
