I never had a manual for my A4 S Line and notices these 2 buttons in the drivers side door pocket.
If i pull them out the light turns on red.

What are they for and there function?

Its a 2007 a4 tdi s line 140 if that helps.

Thanks, Singh.

One is interior monitoring sensor disabled for animals/kids when cars locked, not that kids should be left in a car, other is tow alarm disable for breakdown trucks etc.

This another regular question, maybe we need to put things like this as a sticky?

Tow alarm sensor button can also be flicked if you are on a ferry, you can set the alarm but the wave motion won't activate the alarm.

I got a dislike for a helpful piece of advice?

Next time you are on a ferry and they tell you not to set your car alarm don't listen to them, and wait for you reg number to be called out over the tannoy because your alarm is going off. Just tell them someone on a forum mentioned it but you decided to dislike their advice. Hopefully your alarm will go off for long enough to flatten your battery. If it does, post it here and let us know and I will click like, because it will amuse me.

Don't know why I bother some days
