Is there a way to turn the fuel range off on the dash, constantly find myself looking at it?!?
 
on mine you press the rest button on the underside of the stalk, but I have the posh DIS, is yours a colour display?
 
I looked into this too, and came with the same answer as above.

Big fat no.
 
press button under stalk till it turns off
some have dis 1 dis 2 then off.
 
have dis fitted job sorted
 
you get a stalk with buttons
have it fitted and coded via VCDS
then you get fuel timers etc etc etc
 
its a DIS stalk
you can get colour did but its a full clock change and immobilizer recode etc etc
 
So let me get this straight.

All I need to do is buy a left hand stalk with buttons, fit it and get it coded.

Then the other OBC functions work?

Sounds too good to be true!!!
 
your right but you need the right hand stalk the wiper stalk
very easy mod
 
Yeah, just had a look on eBay and realised it was the right hand stalk.

There's another one for the mod list.

Is there a thread anywhere that shows the correct part number, fitting instructions and what functions you get? Did a search but didn't find anything.

but any stalk from B6 B7 will fit
