2 piece chrome trim on grille ???

Strange one this but whilst cleaning the car over the weekend I noticed that my chrome S Line grille surround is in 2 pieces, not damaged but a level join/split each side of the number plate ???

Does anyone else have this??

Post a pic please fella, sounds strange, I've removed a few grilles but can't ever remember seeing a 2-piece
