Got a question about remote cl, i only bought the car yesterday and came with 2 keys, one of which was clearly
the spare of the previous owner owing to
its great condition, only thing is the remote cl
doesnt work, could the battery be dead? Could
it need programming? If so is it a DIY job?

Battery/reprogramming more than likely as after a while of being flat it loses sync, try changing battery & putting in ignition & pressing buttons a few times, then remove key & test, see if its resynced or not.

If not, then anyone with vcds could reprogram the key, thats if its not got a dead remote pcb, immo & remote are 2 different systems not linked.
