Right ive got a list of things i want to do. (well my mechanic) And wont to get the required parts for him. So any help on what i need would be great. Im a real novice when it comes to car parts :sadlike:

*Remove the intakes to do some decarboning around valves etc
*Drop the sump and desludge/ replace pickup (engine very ticky and had oil sensor flash up recently)
*Fit new clutch switch as i read they tend to be a common fault and i have jerky gear changes. Thought id try switch before DMF/Clutch
*New temp sensor (gauge never seems to move once warm)

So question is what parts do i need? Gaskets, Sensors etc....

If someone could find me parts numbers it would be really helpful as my local dealer doesnt like giving them out if im not buying from them. And TPS arent always to sure.

P.s
I also keep getting these codes:
MAP/MAF <-> Throttle Position Correlation
P0068 - 007 - Short to Ground - Intermittent
Air Intake System: Flow too Low
P307A - 009 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent
Which i assume is probably a dirty MAP sensor from the K&N filter???

Thanks in advance

if your mech is any good he will tell you what you need get a list from him
also for those parts you really need oem so get them from audi they good on prices for the parts you need.

but if the mech cant help you with a parts list id be going to someone who knows.

Was more the fact im planning on getting the parts through TPS as i get discount there and theyre so much more helpful if you know the exact part you need and part numbers. And i thought id ask the guys who have already done theres

every K&N panel/cone/CAI kit ive had has monkeyed up a MAF... i steer clear now, and havent had an issue with Carbonio/ITG or BMC

What i was thinking. The filter was fitted when i got the car. Are the Pipercross/BMC panel filters ones any better?

how long ago was that? sounds like it would be worth replacing.. BMC Panel Air Filter A4 B7 Avant / Saloon 1.6, 1.8T, 1.9TDi, 2.0FSi, 2.0T FSi, 2.0TDi, 2.7TDi, 3.2 V6 01/05> - £48.50 : The premier online mail order VAG suspension and performance specialists. i threw a BMC panel in my S4 a couple of yrs ago, and have since given it a few cleans and not had a single prob with it.

Ive not tried a pipercross

Might order a BMC one and get it fitted at the same time as i assume the MAP if gonna need to come off and given a good clean. Got the car June 2011 and who knows how long the filters been fitted. I take it the fact the codes come up as Intermittent is why the warning light hasnt come on?

its best to clean MAFs with either a proper MAF cleaner or electronics cleaner.. if youre going to clean it with alchohol, make sure you let it dry thoroughly before re-installation.

give the MAF itself a clean by all means.. but if i were you, i'd pick up a new MAF sensor as well as the new panel filter ;)

may improve your mpg too!!

Typical, went to Audi for prices and part numbers and got told. "We don't give out part numbers"
Was also told mine doesn't have a pick up pipe and is part of the pump. Anyone know if the pump has a filter that can get blocked?
