sadly no progress on these lamps as I am waiting for my new Hot glue gun to arrive in the post. I ordered it on the 11th of Jan and its still not here!

I think I am going to put 9 or 10 white led's accross the bottom and in between the white led's I might put amber and wire them up into the indication lamp.

updates. my hot glue gun has arrived. I will carry on with my project this week :)

only problem is I only have 2 glue sticks (should be enough but I have ordered more)

I will keep it you guys updated!

not a full step to step guide but here we go

follow DIY: CC (Clear Corner) Mod

to split the head lamps open

for this you will have to paint your inner head lamps black.

This is a "how to" guide on how to fit DRL lights similar to the fly kits.
I do not hold any responsibility for any damage done to your car.

What you need
Hot glue gun
5mm Led's pre-wired with resistors 30-40 of these in white
Masking tape
Pencil
soldering iron
solder
insulation tape
1 meter of 12volt 5 amp cable
Plastic primer
Satin/Matte black spray paint
degreaser before you paint
torx screw driver

right once you split the head lamps open from the guide above, all you need now is the clear plastic and the head lamp chrome bit

test all your led's that are the same color and are white

stick masking tape on the outer lens and there will be lines on the lens. count the lines
I think there is 32 take 2 away (one from each outer side) and then depending on how many led's you want work it out and ect
I went for 10 Led's as it was like every 2.5 gap or something like that

remove the chrome and stick masking tape on it (3 torx screws)

plug in your hot glue gun and leave to run while you work from now if you wish (pre heating it as it takes quite a long time to heat up)

place the chrome back into the lens and use a pencil and mark the lines from the outer lens to the inner chrome using a pencil and remove the chrome bit again

2 people would be preferred for this job.
hold the chrome lens or prop it up upside down put a dab of hot glue on where the line is and put the led on the chrome

do this for all the lines. it will take a bit of time as the glue does take a long time to dry so you will have to hold the led while it drys while the other person holds the glue gun.

once you have done with gluing and everything has dried up strip all the wires back

join the red to red and black to black and use thicker wire (support up to 5 amp) and wrap them around the wires red to red, black to black.

screw the chrome back into the lens. it will be a tight fit but it will fit I had to trim one of the edges to get mine to fit.
after that find a 12 volt power supply and connect the red and the black to the power supply source and make sure all the led's look in line and they are not facing the wrong way ect. (I used a computer to test my led's as computers output 12 volts)

adjust the led's if you think they are on the wrong direction. remove all the glue using a flat blade screw driver and use a new led. it should rip the chrome off but that is not a problem as its underneath so you won't see it. re glue and test ect ect.

once you are happy with the location of the led. degrease the chrome and make sure its dry. Use some masking tape and tape up the led's

use some plant wire or what ever you call it and wrap it around the loop where the screws go through and hang it up ready to primer

primer the part and wait for X amount of time so its dry.

after the primer has dried paint with Satin/Matte black spray paint and leave to dry for X amount of time so it dry's

once dry strip the all the wires back and join red to red and black to black you will need aprox 50cm of wire per lamp.

once it has dry make sure the lens is clean from the inside and out side and make sure the light cluster is clean. remove the back cover of the bulb and feed the wire through to the back of the hole underneath the bulbs.

drill the side of the head lamp and feed the 2 red and black wires out and hot glue to seal the hole where the wires go through.

refit the "painted plastic / chrome" to the lens and use to de-globe guide and reseal the headlight

Enjoy
