Hi picked up my Audi a4 convertible 2008.

It has the RNS - which has two SD card slots? Is this the RNS-e?

Found this in the arm rest? Is this to connect an iPhone?

How does it work? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352238731138159

It's to connect a phone unsure which. Well it's a cradle bracket to hold a phone cradle by looks of it

Would I need this to connect the phone via Bluetooth? Or can I connect to Bluetooth without?

Does the Cradle charge the phone and connect to power?

you can connect to bluetooth
or get a cradle to fit your phone

Besides charging and antenna connection any other benefits?

Can the stereo access the music on the phone?
Thanks

No, it's just charging and antenna.. at least yours is in the armrest, mine is stuck on the centre console and requires replacement of the console if I remove it as the holes for it are huge.

theres a good bloke in nottingham that can get rid of the holes and it looks very very good when hes finshed
he charges £110 pricey but at least you dont have to remove it all to fit a new 1

Thanks for confirming.

I want to buy an ipod kit for the car to control from the stereo so may not bother getting the cradle.

Should The ipod kit prove to expensive with resort to SD cards for music and buy the cradle to charge the iphone.

Yep. Audi, confirmed my car has bluetooth so it's the charging dock
