Car: 2005 Audi A4 Saloon 2.0tdi s line saloon
Alloys: 18x8j et 43
Tyres: 235/ 40/ 18

Will be lowered on 40mm / 30mm spring/ shock combo which will result (as its s line) in a 20mm / 10mm drop.

What size wheel spacers to fill out the arches a bit? i dont really like wheels poking out.

cheers

12mm spacers will give you ET35, which IMO is a nice even stance for our cars

Yea 8mil lol, had something else on my mind, i have just fitted ET35 rotors, looks great but needs lowering tho

Nice, suits the car well with the colour. It will look sweet lowered. What set up you going for?

This is H&R springs (30mm), 18x8 ET35 with 235/40/18. I probably could've gone ET30 to be really flush but the front might have looked a bit weird although I could run 5mm spacers on the rear only.

Not sure, doing loads of research, narrowed it down to either H&R or Eibach springs, not sure what drop to get, if I'm right 30mm springs will only give a 10mm drop over sline, so i'm guessing maybe 40mm H&R or maybe Eibach combo 50/40, decisions decisions lol

car looks great mate! so you went 8mm all round? do you find any vibrations with the spacers? do you find the front wheels poke a little bit or do they still tuck a bit under the arches? et35 on front looks spot on, might got for a 10mm or 12 mm spacer on the rear to fill it out a bit more to match the front :uhm:

cheers for the pics lads, car looks great aswell! did you go 8mm spacers all round too? now that you have them fitted do you think the rear could do with another 2 or 4mm spacer?

i was in the same position as you, i wanted to lower the car a touch but also keep it practical. it is my main form of transport and also use it to tow a motorbike trailer during the track / race season. the s line is 20mm lower than than the SE model so take 20 away from any quoted figures. there is also a 10mm difference between the front and rear of the s line suspension. i was going to go H&R 45/35 but after seeing pictures it is a bit too low on the front for me. what i have decided on is an AP suspension kit with dampers with a 40/30 drop. this will even out the front and rear height and lower it, keeping it practical but improving the looks. the rear will look the same as ASC with the front being 10mm lower.

No spacers on the car now. I did have 10mm spacers on with the original wheels (ET45) but the new wheels are ET35 so that cancelled out the spacers. I may still stick 5mm spacers on the rear only for flusher look. Front is fine I think.

i was originally going to go for a 40/30 drop but having looked at yours im thinking its low enough?! i still need my car to be practical. how do you find it? would you have gone lower in front in hindsight? and thanks to your pics i will def be going 8mm spacer up front (et35). what spacer do you think would be ideal to match the rear with front? cheers!

No, I probably wouldn't go any lower on the front. The ride is a bit harder but not much. I might still put 5mm spacers on the rear which would take it to ET30, that will probably fill the arches so if you are ET43 at the moment then maybe 12mm spacers (depending on how low you go I spose)? DPM reckons you could even go 15mm.
