Hi Guys,

After spending alot on my car this past few weeks at a certain garage, I have lost my faith with them.....They have told 2 of the injectors are goosed and probably will need replacing soon.

Question I have a got is how easy is it to refurb them and what is normal process for doing this? My injectors are out of an 05 Audi A4 BLB engine code.

The car is still having a stutter at around 1500 - 2500 rpm intermiently, almost like a tiny boost leak and sometimes it doesnt crank too well first thing in the morning.....

I have a had new head / head gasket / glow plugs / glow plug loom and egr valve checked, so its sort of ruled out any of these being the fault.

Thanks,

Chris

Did you get this problem sorted?

My brother is having trouble with his 05 2.0 tdi

try replacing the vacuum unit on the inlet manifold - cured mine for about £10. There is a diaphram inside which splits

Vacuum unit? Don't suppose you have the past number?

Where abouts is it located

part number is S03G129061C

I got mine from TPS.

I think it controls the flaps inside the manifold which adjust the air

If you do it you will need 2 or 3 cans of carb cleaner to get all the muck off the flaps and the egr. It's quite an easy job

Injector refurb is obviously a specialist job.

Depending on your needs, there's loads of mail order places. Or have a look for a local place.
Lucas and Bosch centers used to do them, we send ours to a local specialist.

If you don't get before and after print outs, be wary. Any decent place will offer these.

Thanks for that

I will have to put ETKA back on my laptop so i can look up part numbers again!

I don't remember seeing that the last time my head was under the bonnet to be honest but then I wasn't looking for it lol

The egr should be ok it was only cleaned about 2k ago as someone told us that was the issue!
