Rear wiper on my avant seems to just work when it wants.

Evening all, the rear wiper on my 2007 avant seems to have started working when it wants or not at all has anyone got any ideas as to why? It's mot is due in dec will this affect it at all and how do I get it sorted?

Hi there
I wouldn't of thought it would affect the MOT but it sounds like a dodgy switch connection to me? Have you checked the switch?

check the motor for water
the feed pope for the washer comes of or splits and wets the motor
and sends it daft

Cheers for the replies but how do I get to the motor? The washer jet still works but the wiper only when it decides too. I've had a look at the tailgate and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of getting to the motor bez and where would the switch be RAW?
