I dropped my 2005 163 2.5TDi off at RK Engineering today down in St Agnes for a remap. I've not had it long and wasn't happy with the performance/power. Seems I was right not to be happy, Si rolling roaded it before doing anything and it only produced 110bhp and was 100ft/lb of torque adrift from standard!
Not a good sign...
He found a 2" split in one of the intercooler hoses which he replaced, but also found one of the intercoolers was leaking and that the foglight/intercooler grill cover was the wrong one and was completed covered over, hence no airflow to the intercooler.
Having fixed the intercooler pipe, I'm back upto 161bhp and got my torque back. Not sure I need a remap after that lol.
Anyway, I'm now on the hunt for a drivers-side intercooler and the correct foglight/grill cover.
Any help appreciated.
