    tips yeah take it to a place that wont fob you off
    it can be done
    mine was on 3 diffrent cars and others have been done right
    they should sit up there quite snug.

    shouldnt be to hard to sort
    some garages just bang them on and dont adjust
    im just lucky the lads i use thats the only thing they do so they take pride in the work they do

    Sorted mate, ill spend a saturday morning jn work making some adjustments. Its been bugging the life out of me, but i just accepted that was the way it is.

    Well its here! Tomorrow is the day when everything will finally be installed! Starting nice and early and expecting to complete by tea time. Turbo, injectors, hpfp, oil and filter change, lift up the rear silencers and custom front mount intercooler. Mite be wishful thinking but we will see how we get on.

    All pics will be up tomorrow from the full install..
    Hopefully a positive outcome, then over to stockport to see rick @ unicorn developments... Just gonna get it running safely for the time being as hes really busy, but he is kindly squeezing me in on an evening. May have full power before xmas but lets not count our chickens.

    Heres all the pics from the install at the weekend. I still cant believe we pulled it off. A paint sprayer and roofer couldnt possibly get this right lol!

    Rick @ unicorn developments had me drive over and put me a safe map on until we can get it on the dyno in january.

    Lets just say it goes like stink!!!! Cant wait to see the actual performance figures!

    Apparently, this is the only A4 in the uk with launch control and flat shift. Both of which spit flames!

    Back over to unicorn developments in january so i will have all the final results from the dyno. Not gonna put any guess work figures up until i know for certain. Seems to be running spot on, even the fuel economy is better, which is the last thing i was expecting! I highly recommend this conversion.

    Thos is how audi should have supplied the B7 2.0T FSI DTM and SPECIAL EDITION models

    Yeah ive noticed that olly, maybe things mite perk up a little. Yeah im also keen to see the results, tried a couple of things differently to your original build, although most of it is the same. Didnt have time to leave the car in bits and have all the pipes welded coz its my daily driver and the bus wasnt an option lol! Looking forward to seeing what yours is pushing now!

    Haha! Gonna be rods and 1000cc injectors for me next, then go from there... Im hoping to break the 400bhp mark next year, but ive seen the struggle you've had. Solaris is the closest I've seen so far!

    Doing the brakes in january, just managed to secure some S4 rear calipers and carriers to go along with the brembo 6pots for the the front. Decided stopping power is a MUST

    Yea i've nearly bought rs4 fronts a couple of times now, the s4's aren't bad though.

    Whats solaris' last figure? I've got a sneaky feeling he's going to come back next year with a gtx3076r or something...

    I'm confident Dans hybrid will crack 400

    According to rick @ unicorn developments i should be looking for some 1000cc injectors from germany (cant remember the name) should be in the region of £1k but he reckons he could really push the hybrid way past 400 almost to 450. Im due to speak with him this weekend so ill find out the make and let you know. Gotta be worth a shot surely!

    I nearly went for the RS3's but wasnt sure so i bought the brembos as a fail safe, yet to have them refurbed before installation like

    Last time i checked, solaris was pumping 370, but i havent seen anything since, but i think you could be right, a big gt3 could be in his next appearance lol!!

    I really hope you break 400! Will be a massive achievement!

    i bought some RS3's but sold them on for engine parts

    as for injectors i've never heard of 1000cc direct injection items compatable with our engines, at the moment i only know of 3 real options S3 upto 400bhp ish then RS4 upto 600 ish (according to a few builds i'm following in the USA) then only other one i know of is APR modify the S3 injector to flow more but last i heard they were only selling them with their turbo kits

    the problem with RS4 injectors is the spray pattern is wrong for our engines, basically due to the angle of the RS4 heads the nozzle sprays out at an angle where as ours spray straight out. the RS4 injectors do work and are proven on several 500bhp Americano builds, only downside is a bit of black smoke when giving it the boot.

    i've got a spare set of RS4 to go in mine if the S3's run out of puff, i'm also running new RS4 lpfp, RS4 lpfp controller and RS4 fuel pressure valve.

    as far as i know the most powerful k04 on uk is 420bhp but can't find any details on it, there is a LOBA k04 in europe running 440bhp apparently but the turbo is £3.5K :o

    i'm sure solaris' DTM is taking a back seat at the mo as he's just built an amazing mk2 20vt turbo

    Yeah ive heard the same about the RS4's, rick told me last week and bez told me a few weeks ago, but he seems happy that these german injectors are the tits. If im honest ive never heard of them either, but ill be sure to let you know. The loba k04 is ridiculously over priced. Id be going for a garret gt3071r over that all day long.

    Just got a new maf today so gonna fit that tomorrow and see how i get on. As soon as i get intouch with rick, ill post the details. Or ill inbox ya

    034 motorsport turbo intake pipe arrived today.
    Managed to fit that along with a boost gauge and went for a test run.
    Running 1.4-1.5 bar average and peaked @ 1.7 bar

    Will be returning to unicorn developments this month to finalise the map and push it to 2 bar (hopefully, aslong as its safe to do so)
    Then the long awaited Dyno results will be posted.
    Can see this becoming an obsession lol!

    Since my last post I've had bait of a nightmare to be honest. I've had to change the diverter from the forge diverter to the revision D, The pcv to the revision N, the thermostat and all the vacuum pipes to illiminate any chance of leakage.
    after visiting rick last week unfortunately the car is still not at the stage where it can have a fine tune, but I'm pleased to say that after fitting all of the above, it runs like a dream and pulls like a train. although I'm still not 100% happy with how it delivers the power through the rev range. I'm changing the spark plugs and have some new clamps coming as I'm sure I'm loosing boost from the intercooler pipes somewhere. its minor, buts its there.

    On a brighter note, I've installed some Eibach anti roll bars and its going in on saturday for the Eibach coil overs fitting alongside the brembo 6 pot fronts and the S4 rears. so i will be back to report how they are with some pictures of the ride height and the colour I've chosen for the brembo'sand hopefully some more positive results performance wise. I'm not going to give up and ill keep you in the loop all the step of the way. especially for you guys who are planning on doing the conversion.

    It's been a while since I've updated this thread, so I thought I would wait until I have covered a few more valid steps before I add anything new.

    I still have loads of loose ends to tie up, like painting the rear caliper and the insides of the discs, but being a daily driver it's hard to set the time aside. But I'll get there in time for the spring/summer shows and festivals.
