    Adaptive suspension?

Can you get aftermarket suspension that can be adjusted as per a6 or a8 adaptive suspension? I. E. A comfort setting and a sports setting. I want to keep the ride for how I drive with being lowered and on eibachs, but want a setting I can change with a flick of switch to a comfort setting for when the pregnant wife and kid are in the car.. ...(getting an ear bashing currently about the ride but would prefer not to have to change the car....)

    Re: Adaptive suspension?

No idea, I think that's what they have in the a6/a8 set up though, its air based...so must be OK..

Have a look at that then mate it aint cheap but it is very cool as you can slam the car to the floor and than raise it up again at the flick of a switch. Its big in the states and i think there are few guys in the a3 section of audi sport running bags ?
I think i read its about 2k though ouch !!! So u maybe better getting a new car after all lol

My experience of air ride is that you end up with a very hard ride when raised... however, I'm not the expert and I've only ever been in 1 car (passat) with air ride

I have air suspension on my A3 SB. It's great. You can go high/low, the ride is super comfy, and stupidly practical. Sounds like you want MAG ride for your B7.

Magnetic ride like on the TTS/TT-RS/R8 etc. You'd need to retrofit it onto the B7 though.

    Re: Adaptive suspension?

I thought that magnetic ride was really harsh from reviews I read? Good for tracks but not much else...

    Re: Adaptive suspension?

From looking at their site its probably a couple of grand...not sure I can justify that, don't think I'll be keeping my car long enough and it certainly won't add it to the value.. .
