Hi guys,

Got a problem with my 2.0 Tdi 140 bhp, it has been suffering with the hesistation problem between 1400-2000 rpm. Now it has got worse when accelerating there is a cloud of black smoke until after 2000rpm every so often then the power is back!

I've cleaned the air filter and the egr valve, but I noticed on the egr that the part which connects to the cooler pipe the valve doesnt open, its connected to a rod which is connected to a motor.....Any ideas?

Thanks

Yea its going in Friday, but I want an idea of what it could be before it goes in. The fact the valve part which connects to the cooler pipe doesnt operate.

The anti shudder valve is also referred to as the inlet manifold flap. It is supposed to open when you open the throttle allowing air into the vehicle and it is supposed to close when you turn off the car to prevent air getting in and ensure that the car shuts off properly.

If this isn't opening at all then i imagine this will cause no end of problems.

Well just scanned the car with my cheapy eBay software and this is what I got....... Faults
