DSG question

Hi all,

Are there many known issues with the DSG's? My friend has warned me away from them as "they fail, judder and stop shifting " and cost 6k+ to replace.

Is this justified or unfounded?

Hmm just read a post on here

AFAIK the auto box on the A4 isn't actually DSG, it was only released on the A3, Or so I was told!
