2007 A4 2.0 TDI S-LINE 170-WHY AN EXHAUST ON EACH SIDE?

Hi Everyone..

My mate has the above motor and is wondering why there is an exhaust on each side of the car. I do not know so I was hoping someone could help! Other A4's like his seem to have the typical one sided affair.

An upgrade? Many people fit a S4 or 1.8T rear valance and fit a twin exit system. Many on here have done it.

I've always just presumed the 170's came as standard with them and the 140's with the single side

Yep, the 170's had the exhaust on both sides, 140 came with a standard one sided exhaust.

Thanks guys. His is an Edition model, silver with the optic grille etc. Totally standard from Audi.
