P0340/P0341 engine codes Audi A4 1.8T

All,

My friend has come up with these codes recently, and the vehicle is difficult to start when left for a while... Could anyone help out with these.


P0340 - Camshaft position sensor "A" circuit bank 1 or single sensor
P0341 - Camshaft position sensor "A" circuit range/performance Bank 1 or single sensor

All help is appreciated :)
 
I wouls chek connections to the sensor if its ok then get a new sensor, I had the same replaced and then fine.
