Gearshift indicator

Hi can anyone help can you turn on the gearshift indicator using vagcom, the user manual says you can have it turned off at dealer or can it only be done at dealers cheers

These are the instructions for the Exeo, so may be similair for the A4.....

I tried this on my 2.0tdi 170ps and it didn't work. I

17-instruments. Block 60 and added 2 as per the instructions.

I got a fault code in 17-instruments to do with some transmission module or something so I guess it's not supported.
