A4 concert iPod interface

Hi,

I'm looking at somehow connecting my ipod up to my concert HU (i think it is a concert II) in my A4. I've spoken with my local dealer and they do a official cable which looks like i can fit myself for £105.

I'm looking for some information as to whether they are any good, and if not then what can anyone recommend. Does in work with the dash display to show track info etc.? I've heard that it only works if you set up playlists from 1 to 6 is that the case?

Also does anyone know if you can swap the concert HU out for another Audi HU that is better...

Have you thought about the aftermarket route? I did an ipod alpine unit in my old A3, it was brilliant.

I want to keep the interior as is really... as much as i dislike the concert HU i would prefer to keep as is and add to it.

I have an xcarlink aftermarket system

This is the newer model to the one that have

I also brought the Bluetooth module so can use my phone while driving
You can also play music wirelessly via Bluetooth also charge the phone with dock connector

You can also keep the cd changer if you have this one where as the Audi OEM iPod dock disconnects the cd player and uses the connection
