Fat Fives on A4, or MirrorPolished Fat fives

Hi has anyone Ever seen Miror Polished Fat fives in the UK, I found a few photo's of some in Belgium, and others from else where, just wanted to know if there were a few sets about?
I have fat fives on my A4 cab, I am working on the mirror polishing of them at the moment, starting with the spare. A long hard process with plenty elbow grease.

I haven't seem them on a cab in the uk, I've seen them on a cab in a magazine tho, and on a few mk3 golfs, nice wheels tho, especially polished up
    A4 3.2 cab likes this.

    Mirror Polished S-Line Wheels?

I almost started a new thread asking the same thing, good job I searched! Have you got a link to the pictures you've seen as I can't find any?? (Probably searching for the wrong thing) I think what I'm looking for aren't fat-5's though, like these but polished:

How are you getting on with the polishing? What exactly is involved in the process?

Ideally I'm looking for a pic of some polished/chromed versions of these on a dark A4 B7...

I'm considering the same as you, but with the standard 5-spoke s-line alloys, they could do with a refurb so if I'm going to go to the hastle of getting them done, why not change the finish? Also, what's the difference between 'mirror ploished' and 'chrome' or chrome plated??

I started the Polishing but have not got the finish I want yet so will battle on when I have the time, Been busy with work and refurbishing other wheels for sale.
Mirror Polished : is bare metal rubbed down so smooth they will reflect light like mirrors do, High maintenance if not laquer'd but the finsih is better and can be easily re-polished.
Chrome or plated : alloy dipped in and coated, May/will result in flaking and rusting after a while.
This is what I have done so far, and below is what I want to achieve.

This is what I want to do below

    They look sweet

How long have you spent on the polishing so far?? If you apply a laqure when the polishing is finished do they need any additional maintenance to normal painted alloys??

If I had a spare set of wheels to use in the mean time this would be my next project...

I think i have spent about 6-7 hours so far maybe more, I strip the paint off by hand, that takes forever as the power-coating is not easy to remove, it has to be scraped off with a small stick like a match-stick. once that is done, its all about trial and error to achieve the finish you want. I want mine to look like the mirror polished comps I use to do and sell.

The ones on the polo aren't fat fives but TT compomotives. The golf ones are the genuine fat5 ! You will need to send the wheels to germany to polish them mirror like, they use tiny ball bearings and vibrating machines to achieve that finish !

I do my mirror polishing by hand, The photo above shows the result on my old Audi TT, These are HAND MIRROR POLISHED 'COMPETITION' alloys.
for some more of my work check the link in purple above that photo.
Also there is a guy called 'The Polisher' up north sumwhere, He is known on the VW/Audi scene as one of the best, and I think he uses the same process as the barrel and beads or bearings.
But thanks for the info Adam.

Adamss24 of course your quite right, It was a technical error! I thought it was a pic of a white golf I saw on the day with white fat fives, as it turns out i didnt get a pic of the golf.

A4 3.2 cab your work is very impressive, the mirror polishing really transforms the look of the wheel.

Is 'The Polisher' an Audi-Sport member?? Do you know how to contact him? As much as I'd love the satisfaction of doing the work myself I don't have the time or a spare set of wheels for the interim
