basically the website that i'm trying to order some coilovers off only gives 2 options :
max front axle load 1080kg or Front axle load 1080 to 1220

I am unsure of which my car is, its a 2006 A4 S-Line Special Edition 2.0Turbo FWD

Any help appreciated, thanks

the usual choices are between FWD or quattro. Seeing as though you have FWD, I would guess the choice for you would be max 1080kg

Best thing is to ask them before ordering then at least you should get the correct ones.

However viceroys theory is sound, usually quattro is the heavier load!

There's a plate either on the engine bulkhead or B pillar or boot which shows weight of each axle. Its also handy for knowing the minimum Load Index you need for your tyres. Was a while ago when i looked for mine so can't remember which location i found mine in, but can remember I needed at least a 91 load index tyre on my diesel quattro avant. A lookup on that points to 1230kg, but that's for a diesel.

Right basically there's the VIN number then underneath:
2005kg
3450kg
1 - 1090kg
2 - 1045kg

thanks

what i was asking is the 1 and 2 your axle loads or something else
