Although some may know this, I've just been made aware that my car has been identified by Audi as part of a 'campaign'..........to replace 'unit injectors'!
Having spoken to my dealer, this is not something they are contacting people about, but will check as and when cars come in for servicing. The don't class it as a safety issue, even though a failed injector results in total loss of power!!!!
If its found that a vehicle has the 'faulty' parts, they will be replaced free of charge under warranty.
Having failed before, mine have all been replaced already.
I'd highly recommend all owners on this engine contact their dealers to see if this campaign affects their car. I'm told it covers all cars with the 2.0tdi 170
