I have been having some problems with my car B7 a4 2.0tdi 140 for a while, it is not running smoothly and is underpowered, almost like you really have to boot it to get the turbo to kick in, have tried a number of things to sort this but I still haven't really solved the problem.
Today it was the turn of the Turbo veins, I plugged in VAGcom and with the engine running set it to activate the actuator on and off to see if the veins were sticking, they seemed to move freely but whenever the vacuum was on there was a hissing coming from the actuator, Is this normal?
If I removed the vacuum pipe the hissing stopped even if I put my finger over the pipe to put the vacuum pump under load.
It sounds to me like there is a leak in the diaphragm in the actuator but I don't know if this is possible or how it works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
