Thread: How the F** do I re-attach the rear wiper arm spring?

Hi folks

Decided to give the car (A4 Avant) a Christmas wash and when I lifted the rear wiper arm off the glass the spring fell out. How do I re-attach it? I've tried to hook the large end round the spindle but it just falls off. The spring looks undamaged and isn't stretched. Any suggestions please?

I'm driving down 250 miles to Heathrow on Friday and don't want the wiper arm flailing about all the way down the M1.

Mines done the same mate think it might be a new arm job !
Mines been like it for over a year still kinda works and clears most of screen but i should sort it really i seem to have just got used to it and put up with it lol
