Thread: Little red light on the headlight dial?

I noticed a tiny red light flashing on the dial that turns the headlights on/off and I was wondering what it is? I've refered to the manual but it doesn't mention it?

I've only ever noticed it flashing once and its never done it since........

Any ideas?

think they are just meant to light up but seem to be a common failure. there was a thread on here a while ago about this and after reading it I noticed ours only wprled intermittently and since then seems to have stopped working all together!

The LED is known to fail....

I had this the other night, never had light before but other night it was flashing

On my b6 the two LED's behind the sidelight/ headlight bit flicker quite a lot. My switch is currently in bits as I'm gonna have a look at fixing it. I don't know whether new LED's will fix it, or whether it's an issue elsewhere.
