Thread: Audi A4 2.0tdi loss of power problem

My mate had an Audi A4 2.0tdi 2006 model, he's been having this loss of power problem, it first started only being a holding back issue over 3000 revs, but has got a lot worse recently right through the rev range, it actually conked out on the way to work the other day n would'nt start for 5 mins till it had cooled off a bit, today it's running fine as it used to full power again.

Do you think maybe it had a blockage in the fuel filter of injectors thats now cleared cos he's been using tesco's cheap diesel???

Definitely start with the fuel filter, it sounds identical to my mates problem. A change of filter and it was as good as new.

aint cheap fuel great lol.... seen so many diesels suffer this last few years with water in the fuel system all from supermarkets
