Hi guys struggling to find a performance air filter that isn't a panel filter.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

IMO Audi doesn't design their cars to be air restricted. The best intake for our cars is the stock OEM one. Just add in a pipercross filter and your set.

Unless it's just the sound of an intake your after...

It is really just the sound to be honest lol, but i would prefer performance over sound, and also what is best for the engine.. Thanks for your help!! Panel filter it is :)

There is also a sound deadener inside the air box, it looks like foam. Just yank the plastic retainer off and remove the foam, give you a little bit more sound. It's what I done in mine, along with a pipercross and it sounds nice, a little whoosh sound.

I went with a "green" filter and the sound is the same. I read a lot and most people found no significant benefit to something like the carbonio intake due to the existing oem design being good at keeping heat out.

I'll try mine without the deadening foam some time too!

I have a BSR intake sounds great fitment is spot on and cheaper than carbonio.

Thanx guys!! All your help is appreciated!! Seems I have a few options to play with now :)
