VAG reader threw up a injector fault but....

My car lost power when I floored it the other week, felt flat, no turbo..... Switched the engine off to reset the turbo and that seemed to work, however its never felt right since. Took it to local VAG specialist and put it on there VAG reader. A injector fault came up but it didnt actually say what the fault is. The mechanic says it could be a injector or wiring loom? He told me to let the fault deteriorate then take it back but that doesn't sound good to me? I thought this could be the problem that other 2.0 TDi have been having with faulty injectors but my cars a 2.0 TDi 140 not the 170.

Any ideas on this matter?

I was thinking of getting my injectors reconditioned? Or even buying that injector cleaner that you add to your fuel?

Any help, advice, comments would be great.

Did you get a copy of the fault code? I think the loss of turbo is down to the egr valve fault have a quick search on here. I've got vag-com if you need any further scans and not far from teesside.

He said it definately wasn't the EGR valve and he didn't give me a copy of the printout, maybe he didn't print it out.

Im pretty sure that a injector fault would NOT put the car in limp mode like that
From what i understand most of the time if it go's into limp mode under hard acceleration it will be a overboost from the turbo.
