Have I got the right oil ?

Just had my oil delivered ( from amazon ) and I've bought Castrol Edge 5/40

Looking on the back it doesn't say vw507 00

Have I bought the wrong oil ?

Looks like I should have bought 5w / 30

I just bought 5w 30 this morning for my 2.0 tdi

5w-40w is fine if you're on fixed servicing. There's a list of oils that can be used for variable and fixed services, in your service book.
I use 5w-40w Castrol edge.
