Which oil for the S4??

Am just about to purchase some oil for the motor, to have it changed at a stealers, as the local dealer wanted £280.00, for the service. Service translated to 'oil change', so although I dont mind fuelling it, I refuse to be taken for a ride paying that sort of cash for an oil change! So back to my point, any recommendations?? Was going with Castrol Edge 5w-30 Fully synthetic.

It says 5w30 in the manual but most specialists recommend 5w40 and that's what most people seem to go for. The ester based fully synthetic such as the fuchs Titan race pro s is supposed to be the one to go for if you want the best and are prepared to pay for it but any decent brand fully synthetic will do the job. Opie oils have a big selection and with the 10% forum members discount and one of the regular deals work out pretty cheap

5w-40w Castrol Edge is £27 in Costco at the minute.

Give Audi a call and find out what standard the oil should meet. Then become a member of opieoils ..great prices on oil. I use Mobil 1 ESP 5W30 great stuff!
