Just so it's visually flush with the front edge of the bumper.
The lights are dectanes, got them from eBay in USA.

Just linking to this thread and saw the outstanding question! Sorry!
They're just 5mm std LEDs hooked up to individual resistors (for 12v) - mounted into the rear of 5mm perspex - which was then slotted into 5mm slots which I cut into the fog surround horizontals.
It's a bit more complicated that that to be fair.....as per FINAL LED's - YouTube

like the look of the DRL built in to the foglight surround that also turned in to indicators, the ones you have on the workmate, any info on them please
