Replace all 4 now with 225/35/18's, 45 profiles are massive.

if not you can put either on, if its quattro then its best to put the same on all 4 but its not the end of the world if not.

They wont mate there'll be plenty on them. i have really bad pot holes and speed bumps and im running 215/35/19's on rear and down 50mm.

Will look much better, at least compromise and get a 225/40/18.

looking at prices and the 225 seem a lot cheaper too? may look at the 40's i'll phone round for prices. Im not modding the car or lowering it and didnt want massive gaps between the arch and tyre I wouldnt see much benefit performance wise to get 35's or 40's really the s line ride is a little bumpy for my liking at the mo anyway. cheers for your help.

The standard size tyre for 18 inch wheels is 235/40 and 235/45 for 17 inch wheels

Standard fit tyres on an SE on DTM wheels are Michelin Pilot Sport 2's at 235/40/18. Yours has already been modified, not sure why anyone would put 45 profile tyres on 18s....lol

For now I'd say replace it with the same size as you have on the other front, preferably with the same make and model of tyre to keep the tread pattern the same, although if the other front is low I'd strongly advise changing both for 235/40/18 tyres, the make is up to you but falken carry a good reputation, as do most of the big names. Lesser known tyres which perform very well are those by vredestein and uniroyal, particularly the ultrac sessantas and rainsports accordingly.

Can vouch for the Sessantas and rainsports!

I drive the same spec you do, with the DTM alloys. 235/40/18 is the correct the size for these alloys.

I used to be on 235/40/18 Dunlop SP Maxx for a 3 years, and have recently changed all four to 235/40 R18 Y (95) Falken FK-452 off Blackcircles. Saved me close to £200, which I now get to throw away on injectors lol.

I have only been running them for a couple of thousand miles but they have not brought up any bad points so far, they're as quiet as the Dunlops and feel the same around bends and at speed... so no complaints. I can't comment on wear just yet, but so far I would get them again.
