Just checking the service history on my new(sih) car.
It had a dealer service at 42k miles but the ATF Multitronic oil box is not ticked- surely if this is a dealer service this should have been done?

It absolutely should be done at 40K but not necessarily as part of the standard service. BTW it cost about £200 to get it changed :(

Just to add mine is actually the tiptronic

Just because it has a tiptronic mode doesn't necessarily mean it isn't a multitronic. Both types of auto box have a tiptronic function. Is your car front-wheel drive or quattro?

FWD- 7 speed tiptronic(in manual mode) .

My local specialist Audi Garage Kent, Car Services, Car Repairs Kenthas quoted £90 my local audi £180.#
My car has alredy done 45k- just wondering if Audi would cover any issues either way.
Its already passed the 40k interval so they may well say it was not done on schedule.
Any thoughts.

£180 is double but it's cheaper than I paid (although they did replace the filter too by mistake which would have doubled the price although they had to do it for free :) ). if you maintain a dealer service history you are far more likely to get Audi goodwill after your warrantee has expired.

Getting ready to book this any further thoughts on main dealer or my local specialist

for that i would go dealer
then if it does go wrong down the link you have audis backing
so for me it would be worth the extra
BUT i would never own 1
