B7 a4 2.0 tdi 170 headlight dash indicators

I had B6 a4 and remember that when the headlights and fogs were on the lights letup on both the knob and the dash in front.

I have a b7 now and no lights show on the dash displaywhen the headlights or fogs are on. I brought itback to dealer to check as I had a cd plAyer issue and they said the newer model does not show those lights?!!!

So anyone have them showing in a b7 anyone not or anyone have stereo issues that could affect these electrics. I just don't believe that it would be the case!
 
the B7 dont have dash lights to say the head fog lights are on
the dealer wasnt lieing
 
Mine doesnt have it in the clocks only on the switch itself.

Im sure i read it can be activated using vagcom (i mean the light icon not the fogs)

You can still see the icon in the display for them. Know why they removed them?
I was thinking dodgy electrics due to clocking or something. Car is second Gand uk import to ireland
 
Yep it there, im sure i read how to activate it. Hopefully someone in the know will reply. I kind of liked it
 
Im sure i read it can be activated using vagcom

it cant be activated
its still in there as the b7 and b6 clocks are the same
but theres no codeing for it

right digging around and yes you can have what you want

Enabling headlight lamp in Instrument cluster

Audi A4 B7

Go to the Instrument Cluster module (17)
Make a note of the coding
-2 form the coding in the ?? part - 00??xxx

Mine was 0006411 , recoded to 0004411 and voila the instrument cluster sidelight lamp lights up.

Did this on my B7 RS4 the day after I bought it.
