Witter Detachable Flange Type Towbar??

Hi Guys

I was just curious as to whether anyone has had any experience of this towbar on their B7's, idealy Avants?

A4 Avant/Estate 2004-2008 Detachable Flange Tow Bar

The reason I ask is that I am looking to get a mototrials bike soon and I was thinking I would have to get a trailer due to their only being detachable swan neck type towbars, but after seeing this one it would be possible to fit a bike rack to the flange fitting and then just remove the whole thing after. Main reason for wanting to know about this over the normal detachable type is that I lack storage space, which would not be handy if I had to store a trailer.

I can't see why it wouldn't work, I'd call the retailer knowing the weight of your bike and rack to see what they say.

I'm considering the same bar for my B7 Avant basically get a removable bar that can have a proper bumper shield for coupling protection.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on.
