A4 1.9TDI Timing belt change?

Might have the opportunity of purchasing a 2005 Audi A4 1.9TDI S LINE, its done 65k and i doubt the timing belt has been changed, Is this a big job on this car?

I heard a rumour that its a front end off job!!

Any advice much appreicated,cheers

£349 from audi may be a little more due to age of the car .

Affordable servicing < Servicing with Audi < Owners area < Audi UK

Get them to knock that of the cost of the car , winner .

It doesn't have to come fully off, it just needs to come forward and is then supported. As this engine is an in-line engine, the belt is tight behind the radiator, hence the need to bring the front end forward. I've just bought mine and the timing belt will be due in march, so as a condition of sale, I got them to buy me the Audi kit, and I'll do it myself in March :yes:
