Not long had my B7 A4 2.0T FSI, and whilst very happy with it.. it's starting to niggle me how black the exhaust tips are! The rest of the car is in showroom condition (no exageration!) and the car is silver.. so these really don't look right.

I've had a good, hard scrub at the side of one of the tips and bingo.. there's silver to be seen... however, it took a lot of work to get just a small patch to shine through.

Has anyone got any tips on the best product to use to cut through all the dirt, grime and stains from the exhaust fumes so I can get them shiney again?

I've already considered replacing the tips, however on closer inspection they are welded on pretty extensively.

Any advice would be appreaciated.

Autoglym colour restorer works well, so any abrasive polish should do the job.

I thought mine were Black (2.0T Fsi S-line SE). I had a quick go with some autogylm but they stayed black :banghead:.

Are they supposed to be silver? they really are black........

TIA
