When I roll down my window on my car, I can hear a kind of blowing (sounds like a vacuum cleaner) from the intercooler side of the engine compartment. (I have a 98 A4 1.8T) I have never noticed this noise this loud before, and am wondering if maybe there is a leak in the charge air system going from the turbo to the air intake manifold somewhere??
Is there any measuring block I can check to make sure the engine is getting enough air and that none is leaking out? Is there any other kind of test I can perform to find out if I have a leak anywhere? Any help is appreciated!
