I have just recently retro fitted cruise control to my Audi S3.
Went to my local dealer this morning... for them to reset my air bag warning light and activate the cruise control via VAG COM, they couldn't fit me in until Tuesday 8 June!
So I went to the VW dealer instead. The guy reset the air bag light, activated cruise control, test drove it and it works fine!
However, the down side is I have to go back to Audi. I asked the VW technician to activate "Beep on alarm" - i.e. read module 46 (Central Convenience) read the figure, then +1024.
Well whatever he did, it has stopped my remote central locking from working and I don't think the alarm is activating now as well. He said he tried putting it back to what it was before and it still doesn't work. He said it was actually module 35 that he accessed, even though I told him that it was 46.
He says that I'll have to go to Audi with both keys to get them re-coded. Is this true and a heap of bullsh*t?
