Brake Fault code

Just using the unregistered VAG COM (with a view to registering) for the first time on my car and scanning for fault codes and I noticed the following for my Brakes:

VAG-COM Version: Release 303.1

Control Module Part Number: 8N0 907 379 E
Component and/or Version: ESP 20 CAN V005
Software Coding: 18448
Work Shop Code: WSC 01236
1 Faults Found:
00812 - Brake Pressure Release Solenoid (F84)
35-10 - - - Intermittent

I have Porsche brakes on my car and no low brake pad sensor - but my pads are okay

any ideas?

Hi Dunc,

Have the wiring on the solenoid checked - it's nothing to do with the wear indicators.

Don't forget that WD40 works wonders!! My local dealer told me that I needed two new brake wear indicator looms when the light kept coming on without reason. £70 plus vat EACH plus fitting. I undid the connectors and sprayed some WD40 in there. The light hasn't been on since......!!

dont suppose anyone knows what the soleniod wiring is? Since I have Porsche brakes I cannot really go to Audi for brake issues...
