I've just been out checking my S3 for fault codes (it feels a little sluggish to me) with vag-com and came across this:

VAG-COM Version: Release 303.1

Control Module Part Number: 8N0 906 018 BP
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT 0002
Software Coding: 10710
Work Shop Code: WSC 01236
Additional Info: WAUZZZ8L231211535 AUZ7Z0B2277602
1 Fault Found:
17956 - Boost Pressure Regulation Valve (N75): Open Circuit
P1548 - 35-00 - -

Anybody any idea what's up with the n75?

Funny thing that, I've check my S3 tonight, thinking if feel's hesitant at times and i got the following

17695 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Open Circuit
P1287 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

What could this one be? What's Valve N249?

the n75 valve opens and closes the waste gate on your turbo
and the n249 works the dv

so where is the n249 on a 1.8t a3 2000x plate?

take off the top plastic engine cover (3x 10mm nuts hold it on), you should see 4 coil packs on top of the engine in the middle of the cams and there should be a 5th box with vac pipes with one going to your dv thats your n249 (the box not the vac pipe)
hope this helps

sometimes people find it unplugged, or leaks in pipes around the area or its just plain knackered and needs replacing.
