Hi all, hope u can help me with this.

I did a scan on my Audi A4 1.8SE 1995 and got the following codes:

VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N

07-10 - Signal to Low - Intermittent

End -------------------------------------------------------

Now what does all this mean? is the oxygen sensor faulty and could this be the cause of my car's rev fluctuating when slow or idle -failed to start on first attempt a few times. Also, I got the flap positioning motor for the climate control fixed a few months back - could that still be there from before the fixed it?

does any1 know what this all means? help pls.

The ones to worry about are:

16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity
P0134 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17734 - Knock-Control: Cylinder 2: Regulation Limit Exceeded
P1326 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

The o2 sensor is a common failure, and it is conceivable that the failed 02 sensor caused the second error code from the knock sensor.

I would clear all the codes, drive for a week and then see what returns..

The 2 immobiliser codes probbably relate to a single episode where the key transponder wasn't detected properly, and the climate control problem may be that the codes weren't cleared from previuosly.

thanks mate,

could a faulty cat converter have caused the o2 sensors to fail? hence to solve the problem if the errors are still there after clearinig would be to replace the O2 sensor and also the cat?

ill see if the fault codes are still there in a week. thnx

This fault you got is something to do with Heating and Air Conditioning. It wouldn't have anything to do with the engine. IIRC, you would have to take apart the dash and check the motor for one of the flaps inside the HVAC system. It's really a pain, and I have had that code for a long time and not noticed anything bad. I would just leave it.

i got my climate control fixed from a bosch specialist auto electricians locally. They fitted a second hand climate control unit and one of the motors which i supplied. Now what they told me was this: one of the motor is showing up as faulty on the computer, but when they checked the motor it dont exist on my model. The code was showin up bcoz the computer was faulty and one of the other motors is actually shorting. So they said they replaced the one which was actually bad and the one on the computer (which dont exist on my car model) should not normally show as fauly coz audi block it off - ie the computer recognises that the motor does not exist in my car. does that make any sense?

here is what the work details states:

-Carry out tests on electronic climate control system including detailed analysis of static input signals from relevant sensors and output signals to actuators.
-Interrogate ECU memory for historical and current fault codes. Find stored code relating to actuator not even fitted to this vehicle but prove green actuator shorting internally although not logged as a fault.
-Find and rectify air leak on pneumatic signal to recirculation flap.
-Prove control panel ECU and combined switch faulty.
-Fit your supplied second hand green actuator and control panel. Find no display on s/h control panel but use original display and test ok.
-confirm all heater functions working.

now this cost me £178.60 for parts and £304.92 for diagnostic test and 4.5hours labour. Parts have a 1 year guarantee and the labour has 6 month guarantee.

Do you think i can take it back and get it seen to with the 6 month labour guarantee? or shall i just leave it be.
