Thread: New Condenser?

Hi, the air con on my car doesn't work, hasn't for ages, I think the condenser has broken because the switch doesn't kick in when you turn it on. (correct me if I'm wrong) Anyway... seen a condenser on fleabay for £60 would this make it work again??

Not sure why you've gone straight for the condensor. The condensor is just a cooling matrix and any problems with it would pretty much be it leaking, a blockage or the fan not working.

You should check the fuses before doing anything mate.

sometimes the air con drier can crack and leak, have you had your system re gassed ?

Yes I have since realised that its probably not that at all. Maybe the compressor? As i cant hear the switch kicking in i don't think. I've not had it gassed as i thought the econ light stayed on if it needed gassing?? Should i have it gassed first to make sure?
