aircon cold on left side of a4 2002 tdi

    Hi All,

my car blows constant cold from the left side of the vents, despite raising the temp on climate control. Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be. This is what vag com says:

01809 - Actuating Motor for Temperature Flap: Left (V158)
41-00 - Blocked or No Voltage

Anyone know how to go about repairing the above or what it actually does.

I can only guess that it's the flap for changing the source of the air. Have you sorted it now?

i had the same issue on my 04 A4, it was the heater flap motor packed in. Replaced under warranty.

The problem with common sense, is that its not that common.

V158 is Actuator motor attatched to and controller of tempreture flap at passenger side of vehicle. Sits right hand side of glove box area and is colour coded. Require to remove glovebox to replace. Held on with 3 screws and is easy to replace.Would require basic setting carried out once fitted.
