Our A6 has the ECON light on. Got VCDS on the job and found there was a fault on the G65 sensor. Ordered one and found the car didn't actually have one. It had been removed for some reason.

So I put it on and it just turns. As if the threads have been stripped slightly. So I cannot get the switch to tighten.

Is there a way of repairing this without having to replace the aircon radiator.

I was thinking that, but then I wondered how much the threads need to be damaged for it to work.

Well I got some equipment from work together. We have similar connections at work. No luck though.
The threads are too tired. Not sure how to progress outside of getting a new radiator.

Could a radiator repair place to put a new one in?
