2002 S8 wanting a Sat Navi or a good navi

I have a 2002 S8, basically loaded. Has a 6 CD changer Bose Symphony System in it. Would like to see about upgrading it to a system with Navigation and even possibly Sat Radio too?? Any suggestions or any help at all would be grateful. Closet Audi dealership is over 1hr and 45 mins away.

Hi Mike,

Been a while since you posted this up, have you got anything sorted?

There are 2 factory options for you:
Fit RNS-D - this was a factory option for the D2 S8 and will be simple to fit.
Fit RNS-E - whilst not an option for the D2 it is possible to retro fit one. You do lose the navigation instructions in the DIS, but you also get a much better (IMO) sound quality from the head unit. Add into that the fact that you get simple MP3 capabilities through the SD card slots, and the benefits far outweigh the downsides
Fit aftermarket - There are plenty of aftermarket head units out there, so the world is pretty much your oyster, but you'll likely want something a little special (I know I would) so I can't advise as to what may best suit your needs
