Hi all, recently took my car (98/A8)for its mot and although it passed, the examiner said the nearside rear handbrake operation was low although the drivers side was ok . Does anyone know how to adjust this before i start stripping bits off. Many thanks in advance. wimbledonjohn:think:

to adjust handbreak i had to strip off all the exsaust and adjust there allthough mine was the same near side and i needed a calliper did'nt turn out to exspensive . good luck:hubbahubba:

Thanks for the reply.I cant understand why you had to remove the exhaust though. Was it hard to turn the adjustment nut (underneath the heat shield). This was quite easy to adjust on mine, although the spring that returns the cable on the caliper was frozen so i soaked it with wd40, moved it to and fro then soaked it again and left it overnight. john:bye:
