Thinking of 2006 A8

Hi All

Just viewed our first A8 - a 2006 3.0tdi Quattro - have two questions at this stage:

1, Is it really a four seater - the middle of the rear had very hard backrest
2. Is the 4.2 Tdi considerably better?

Hello,
We have an 2006 a8L w12, not to sure on the diffrance seating wise, but I have noticed that the back seat rest is rather strait up and down. The leg room seems to make up for that. Also depends a lot on the use of your a8 weather it will be the family car or just a weekend cruiser. Best of luck!

Hi Matt, i had the pleasure of driving a 06 4.2tdi on sunday and i must say its a very very nice car, its smooth and quite and very refined.

you hear no road noise and its fast, you dont hear the engine, the 4.2 pulled the car very well, i think its the perfect engine for it, last night i put a remap onto it and it flew even more, it made it what the car should be.

id go for the 4.2tdi, awesome all rounder.
